Venues for our Fiesta

I just talked to the manager of Buckhead Saloon (downtown). He said he's willing to donate a couple of kegs to our cause and let us sell wristbands for those kegs at the door for a small donation.
He is also cool with Sean's band playing too. They have a house band that is there but we can hammer out the schedule later. He is recommending that we do this on a Friday or Saturday so we can get the most money which is what I think we already decided.
Any of the charities are cool with them, so let me know what you guys think.

I haven't got a definite answer on this but a reliable source thinks that the bar may donate the liquor for jello shots to help our cause. If not, would y'all be willing to throw in on some cheap @$$ vodka and jello to make that happen? It would definitely help us reach our goal quicker...

Also, we will be able to put some kind of donation pot around the bar to catch people's spare change. I think Nick is working on them? And the source I spoke with is also pretty certain that when our supporters buy the wristband they will NOT have to pay a cover. If someone tries to charge them, one of us will probably be up there anyway and we can alleviate any possible issues... I'm sure it won't be a problem though, these guys are VERY cool & easy to work with.

I think that's it for now, but I'll let you guys know if anything changes or comes up now til later.

I will make some donation jars this week and can surely come up with some money for vodka. I am excited, it's going to work out great.

Okay, so 100% no cover required if making a donation. However, Junior thinks there may be some legal issues surrounding the jello shots so we may want to scratch that.

We will probably need to supply our own tickets for the 50/50. Paul or Sean, could you look into the cost,etc. of the tickets?

where do they sell raffle tickets?

I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart has them in the stationary section. If not, maybe Party City?

Or OfficeMax, Target or Staples.
